Business Practice and Procedures: Business Practice:
1) Fitting sessions: Fittings are to determine the sizing
requirements of individuals. Tape measurements will NOT be done, as this is
too unreliable a method. Fitting sessions can be done at CJ Corporate Wear's
factory, which is the preferred method, especially for one to a few individuals.
For five or more individuals requiring to be fitted, we will go to the customer's
premises, but must be within the "PWV" area. This is purely from a cost point
of view. Larger groups will allow for greater distances. For areas outside Gauteng,
a fitting range can be sent, and the fitting session done by the individuals
involved.
2) Standard Sizes: Garments are made according to standard sizes - manufacture
will be according to the sizes determined during the fitting sessions. We do
not make garments to individual measurements. NO nips, tucks and alteration!
During a fitting session, each lady's size will be established with the use
of the fitting range. What the ladies fit on, during the fitting session, and
are happy with (and order), is what they will receive. We do not do alterations,
and encourage individuals who want perfection in fit, to go to their tailors.
We can, however, offer individuals a "variation" of sleeve lengths and garment
back lengths (which is done during manufacture). If the variation is within
5Cm longer or 5Cm shorter than standard, then this will be done free of charge.
Lengths more than the "5Cm allowance" will attract a surcharge to the price.
3) Quality Control: Each garment is carefully checked and monitored during
the manufacturing process. We are proud of our quality, and our philosophy is
to "build in quality at every step in the manufacturing process". We do not
just do a final go-no-go check! Our expected rate of return is less than one
garment per 100 garments made. Each return is investigated with a constant view
of improvement. Genuine returns are treated with respect.
4) Conditions of sale to be signed off before fitting or manufacture.
5) Manufacturing faults: will be corrected free of charge.
Procedures:
6) An order for a fitting session to be placed on CJ in writing / fax by clients
detailing the number of ladies to be fitted and their approximate sizes.
7) An appointment date and time will be set up by CJ and the customer directly,
that is mutually convenient.
8) Information gathered at the fitting session will be entered into a computerised
order system and the printout (showing all details for the order) will be faxed
to the customer for authorisation. If any changes are necessary, such changes
must be faxed to CJ and the computer order will be updated. Once authorised,
a 50% "Deposit Invoice" will be raised and faxed to the client. After the receipt
of a 50% deposit (for orders greater that R5000-00 in value, or full payment
for orders less than R5000-00 in value), we will commence manufacture.
9) Each order for manufacture will be acknowledged by fax to the client, indicating
basic order information, date of start of production, and an expected delivery
date.
10) A few days before manufacture is complete, CJ Corporate Wear will fax a
"notification of completion" to the client, together with the "Balance Invoice"
(if the order value is more than R5000-00).
11) Each order will be followed up with a phone call from CJ within 7 to 14
days, to establish the satisfaction of the clients with their garments. Individuals
who receive garments that "do not fit", will be re-fitted. This will determine
if the individual has undergone a change in weight. If the garment delivered
fits in the same manner as the "fitting" garments, then the garments has been
made according to specification. Acceptable deviations to dimensions are plus
- minus 1Cm on any given measurement.
